And against a traditional competition?

Most competitions ask you to trust them. We would rather you did not have to.

Blind by construction, not by promise. Judges read entries through a restricted database view containing no creator reference. Identity is not concealed from them — it is absent.

The panel is published before you pay. If a panel is not listed on a contest page, it has not been confirmed, and we say so rather than filling the space.

The criteria and their weights are published. You know what you are being marked on before you enter.

We publish how much the judges agreed. Panel agreement is shown with the results. A panel that scattered wildly is visible to everyone.

Results are permanent and checkable. Each published result gets a page that shows the contest, the placing and the panel.

Your entry stays private unless you say otherwise. Most competitions take a broad publicity licence in exchange for entering. We do not.

What we are not

We are not a gallery, a print shop, an agency, or a place to build a following. If what you want is an audience, a feed will serve you better. If what you want is to find out whether the work stands up when nobody knows who made it, that is the whole point of this.
